📄 About the Internship Programme
The Materiovigilance Programme of India (MvPI) at the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission offers hands-on exposure to medical device safety, post-market surveillance, adverse event evaluation, data validation and regulatory documentation. The internship is conducted offline at IPC, Ghaziabad and is ideal for final-year students or fresh graduates from healthcare, life-sciences and allied engineering streams.
🎓 Who Can Apply? (Eligibility)
- Pharmaceutical Sciences: B.Pharm, M.Pharm, Pharm.D
- Medical: MBBS, MDS, PhD (Medical)
- Dental: BDS, MDS, PhD (Dental)
- Engineering & Technology: BE/ME, B.Tech/M.Tech, M.Sc/MS, PhD (Biomedical, Medical Electronics, Instrumentation, etc.)
- Nursing: ANM, GNM, B.Sc Nursing, M.Sc Nursing
- Allied & Life Sciences: Public Health, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Allied Health Sciences, other life-science streams
🧭 Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate adverse event reports associated with medical devices
- Support data collection, validation and documentation
- Work with national MvPI reporting workflows
- Assist in safety communication and regulatory reporting formats
- Participate in device risk assessment and post-market surveillance activities
